　　本集為帕格尼尼《24首奇想曲》改編版的世界首度錄音。此曲原為小提琴獨奏，如今改編成管弦樂團伴奏，音樂亦從原本的浪漫風格改為現代與爵士風格。參與管弦樂編曲的音樂家包括Andreas Tarkmann, Stephan Koncz, Gérard Tamestit。而其中七首編曲則是依據前人的改編而得，包括Busch, Schumann, Thibaud, Kreisler, Szymanowski與Pilati。

　　演奏者尼可拉斯．李培（Niklas Liepe）為2017年德國音樂大賽（German Music Competition）的冠軍，以及NDR文化獎（NDR-Kulturpreisträger）的得主。與其合作的樂團為德意志廣播愛樂（Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Kaiserslautern and  Saarbrücken），由布爾（Georg Bühl）擔綱指揮。

　　1990年出生於德國哥廷根（Göttingen）的新生代小提琴家尼可拉斯．李培，曾於漢諾威與科隆音樂院學習，曾參與克龍貝格學院（Kronberg Academy）的「國際小提琴獨奏表演音樂大師」的計畫。也曾加入小提琴家克萊默（Gidon Kremer）, 中提琴家巴許米特（Yuri Bashmet） 與鋼琴家席夫（András Schiff）等人的大師班學習，並與其合作演出。

　　無論編曲者、改編者與演奏者，都因為帕格尼尼新穎的曲調，絢麗的音色與獨特的和聲，受到啟發，因而能發揮創意，完成這個嶄新的帕格尼尼計畫（The New Paganini Project）。創意無窮的音樂計畫，讓古典音樂有了全新的欣賞角度，也賦予古典音樂新時代的意義。
